A week in French Riviera.

The French Riviera is where yacht charter began, and it still sets the standard. Monaco's harbour, the old port of Antibes, Cannes in May and Saint-Tropez in July. The coast is short and full of great places, so a week here can feel long in the best way.

A Riviera charter is about rhythm. Dinner ashore in a famous port, then a quiet morning at anchor off the Îles de Lérins. Lunch in a bay near Cap d'Antibes, an evening in Saint-Tropez. You choose how much you want to be seen and how much you want to vanish.

Demand here is high and the calendar is fixed around big events: the Cannes Film Festival, the Monaco Grand Prix and high summer in Saint-Tropez. AUREVE holds no fleet. We only offer yachts we believe in and know to be of good quality. We search the whole Riviera market, tell you which yachts are really free and give you clear terms. Fast, direct and honest.

A sample route. Every week is planned with the captain around weather, berths and what your group wants.

May to October.

The French Riviera charter season runs from May to October. May, June, September and early October are the quieter months. The water is warm enough, the harbours are calmer and prices are often easier. May has the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix, and those weeks book very early and often cost more.

Peak season is July and August. Demand is highest then, the best yachts go first and some owners only take full weeks with set changeover days. If you want those weeks, book well ahead. Many of the best yachts are reserved months in advance, so serious plans start early.

Late requests can still work. The market keeps moving, and cancellations and gaps between bookings open up all season. When time is short, we search fast and tell you plainly what is really free.

Fee. APA. VAT.

A week in the French Riviera is built from three parts. The first is the weekly charter fee: the yacht, her crew and her insurance. It moves with the season, the size of the yacht and how in demand she is. Low-season and high-season rates can differ a lot for the same yacht.

The second is the Advance Provisioning Allowance, or APA. It is usually 30–35% of the charter fee, paid before you board and held by the captain. It covers fuel, food, drinks, marina fees and other running costs, all at what they actually cost. You get a full account at the end of the week, and any money left over comes back to you.

The third is VAT where it applies. The rate depends on the flag, the route and the country the charter starts in. France and Monaco each have their own rules, and the route you take can matter. We confirm how it applies to your yacht and your plans before you commit. We never guess.

Many guests also tip the crew at the end of the week. It is a choice, not a charge. What you see from us is a clear starting figure and clear terms. The final total depends on your yacht, your dates and how you like to spend the week.

French Riviera yacht charter FAQ.

When is the best time for a French Riviera yacht charter?

June and September give warm water and calmer harbours. July and August are the busiest months. May is all about the big events, and those weeks book far ahead.

Can I charter a yacht for the Monaco Grand Prix or Cannes Film Festival?

Yes, but these are the most in-demand weeks of the year. Good berths and yachts go early, and terms can differ from normal weeks. Talk to us as soon as your plans are clear.

Where do Riviera charters usually start?

Most start in Monaco, Cannes, Antibes or Nice. Some yachts are based in Saint-Tropez. We confirm the start point and any delivery costs with each yacht.

Can we combine the Riviera with Italy or Corsica?

Often, yes. The Italian Riviera is close to Monaco, and Corsica is a longer crossing. Whether it works depends on the yacht, the weather and your dates.

What does APA cover on a Riviera charter?

Fuel, food and drink, marina fees and other running costs, at cost. It is usually 30–35% of the charter fee, with a full account at the end and any unspent balance returned.

Do you only offer yachts from one company?

No. AUREVE is independent. We search the whole market and recommend the yachts that fit your week, not our own fleet.

Let’s make
it happen.

Your week starts with a conversation. Share your dates, your guests and the places you’d like to explore. We’ll find the right yachts and help you choose — with independent advice and a clear view of the costs.
