Ibiza · Charter guide
A week in Ibiza.
Ibiza by yacht is a different island. The famous clubs and beach clubs are still there when you want them. But the real draw is the water: clear coves along the west coast, the pale shallows of Formentera, and Es Vedrà rising out of the sea at sunset.
A week here suits guests who want both energy and quiet. Lunch at anchor off Formentera, an evening in Ibiza Town, then a morning on the north coast before the day boats wake up. Distances are short, so you spend your time swimming, not travelling.
Ibiza is one of the busiest charter markets in the Mediterranean. Yachts book early and calendars change by the day. AUREVE holds no fleet of its own. We only offer yachts we believe in and know to be of good quality. We search the current market around Marina Ibiza, San Antonio and Formentera, shortlist the yachts worth your time and show you clear terms. One conversation. A fast, honest answer.
Where you'll cruise
Where you'll cruise.
- 01
Ibiza Town
The old walled town of Dalt Vila above the main marinas. Dinner ashore, a late walk through the old town, and every service a large yacht needs, right on the quay.
- 02
Formentera
Thirty minutes south and a world apart. Long white beaches, the shallows of Ses Illetes and water that looks almost unreal. Most weeks spend more than one day here.
- 03
Es Vedrà
The rock island off the south-west coast. Best seen from anchor at sunset, when the day boats have left and the light turns gold.
- 04
Cala Bassa
A sheltered bay on the west coast with pine trees down to the sand. Easy swimming, a well-known beach club and an easy run from San Antonio.
- 05
North coast
Quieter and greener. Cala Xarraca, Portinatx and the cliffs near Sant Miquel. Good for slow mornings, snorkelling and anchorages with few other boats.

- Day 4
Es Vedrà
Back to Ibiza's south-west. Cala d'Hort at lunch and Es Vedrà at sunset, with dinner on deck.
- Day 5
Cala Bassa and the west

- Day 7

When to charter
May to October.
The Ibiza charter season runs from May to October. May, June, September and early October are the quieter months. The water is warm enough, the harbours are calmer and prices are often easier. Opening and closing parties in June and October also draw a crowd, so those weeks can fill quickly.
Peak season is July and August. Demand is highest then, the best yachts go first and some owners only take full weeks with set changeover days. If you want those weeks, book well ahead. Many of the best yachts are reserved months in advance, so serious plans start early.
Late requests can still work. The market keeps moving, and cancellations and gaps between bookings open up all season. When time is short, we search fast and tell you plainly what is really free.
What a week costs
Fee. APA. VAT.
A week in Ibiza is built from three parts. The first is the weekly charter fee: the yacht, her crew and her insurance. It moves with the season, the size of the yacht and how in demand she is. Low-season and high-season rates can differ a lot for the same yacht.
The second is the Advance Provisioning Allowance, or APA. It is usually 30–35% of the charter fee, paid before you board and held by the captain. It covers fuel, food, drinks, marina fees and other running costs, all at what they actually cost. You get a full account at the end of the week, and any money left over comes back to you.
The third is VAT where it applies. The rate depends on the flag, the route and the country the charter starts in. Spain has its own rules for charters that start in Spanish waters, and they change from time to time. We confirm how it applies to your yacht and your plans before you commit. We never guess.
Many guests also tip the crew at the end of the week. It is a choice, not a charge. What you see from us is a clear starting figure and clear terms. The final total depends on your yacht, your dates and how you like to spend the week.

Questions
Ibiza yacht charter FAQ.
How far in advance should I book an Ibiza yacht charter?
For July and August, ideally months in advance. The best yachts book early. Shoulder-season weeks and short notice requests can still work. Message us and we will tell you what is really free.
Can I combine Ibiza and Formentera in one charter?
Yes. Formentera is a short crossing from Ibiza, and most weeks include it. Some guests spend half the week there.
Do I need a full week, or can I charter for fewer days?
Some yachts take shorter charters, mostly outside peak weeks. Larger yachts often ask for a full week in July and August. We will tell you which options fit your dates.
What is APA and how much should I budget?
APA is an allowance paid before the charter to cover running costs such as fuel, food and marina fees. It is usually 30–35% of the charter fee. Anything you don't spend is returned to you.
Where does an Ibiza charter usually start?
Most start from Marina Ibiza or the other marinas in Ibiza Town. Some yachts are based in San Antonio or Santa Eulària. The start point is confirmed with each yacht.
Is AUREVE tied to a fleet in Ibiza?
No. AUREVE is independent and holds no fleet. We search the whole market and recommend the yachts that fit your week — only yachts we believe in and know to be of good quality.
